The Can-Am Maverick X3 Has been one of the most popular units for trail riders in recent year, Long and low these machines handle extremely well but suffer the same fate as most can-ams with fox shocks, the failure prone cap leaks and takes out the shock seals causing a clunk or knock or just leaking and poor ride quality . These refurbished units have the updated double seal trail style Schrader cap that eliminates that issue , add a set of dual rate springs and valving to match your specs and you have one of the best riding fastest 64″ machines out there. These qs3 units were the base shocks before the Showas became the base model shocks but with springs , tuning and caps they become a reliable easy to adjust rocks and roots cruisers best friend .
* If your considering dual rate springs in the future i like to tell customers your better to wait to do the full setup the first time since the valving is included in the purchase of the refurbished shocks so your the cost of the shocks and the springs and you have a fully custom shock package. If you purchase the shocks with OEM springs and do springs down the road you’ll have the initial purchase price of the shocks , plus springs and the have the valving performed you have a shock service charge (75$ per shock) and valving charge (30$ per shock ) so we can open them up and change the valving to match the springs. This only works out if your planning to get your full service life out of the shocks before having them torn down for valving (2500 miles) *
These come fully refurbished , sprung, bushed ,bolt on ready . Here is the parts replaced/inspected when we refurbish the shocks
- Shock service (New Oil, New Nitrogen and labor)
- New OEM Seal Kit
- New Internal Wear Bands
- Shaft Bump stops
- New Updated double seal trail style Schrader caps
- Revalved for rider specs (weight, gear, accessory’s , spring systems)
- Eyelet bearings Checked and replaced as needed
- OEM Springs or new dual rate spring system.
